LEFTO EARLY BIRD, a central figure on the Belgian scene, has been making a name for himself for almost thirty years as a DJ, curator and resident on radio stations Kiosk, The Lot and festivals such as Dour and We Out Here… Exploring hip hop, jazz, house, bass music and more, he’s just as at home in clubs as he is supporting nu jazz references such as Thundercat and Badbadnotgood (who invited him to support them on a whole tour!).

He has also made a name for himself as a producer, with the recent, highly acclaimed release of his debut album, “Motherless Father”, on Brownswood Records, Gilles Peterson’s label! “The Belgian DJ unveils a witty debut album where jazz blends with dancefloor,” says FIP about the LP, on which the artist covers a jungle classic by Goldie or quotes John Coltrane!

LEFTO EARLY BIRD also unveils a very singular live format: a choreographed creation based on the soundtrack of the album, broadcast in extenso, without musicians, but with 4 contemporary dancers.

LEFTO EARLY BIRD will of course also be available as a DJ set.
