With 3 albums in the stores, 6 tours in the USA, dates throughout Europe and a multitude of EPs, Von D is one of the few French producers to have made a real name for himself on the international bassmusic scene as a dubstep producer. After having supplied the most influential labels and dubstep DJs with top-notch productions, he decided in 2015 to return to his roots by diving back into Reggae and Dub. His maxi ‘Analog Sound’, released in 2016 on Scrub a Dub (Scotch Bonnet), perfectly illustrates this transition by mixing Bass Music and analog Dub.
For his return to his roots Von D has sharpened his sound palette, enriched his effects park and worked his mixes until obtaining more than solid productions. His dub, as current as inspired by that developed by the founding masters of the genre, has instantly won the favor of some major labels of the current scene. Dub-Stuy, Khaliphonic / ZamZam and Moonshine Records are among the labels that have supported his return to the dub scene by highlighting his qualities as a producer. Von D is back in the stores, back on the line up of big dub events and his productions are regularly played on soundsystems around the world. He even decided to move up a gear by launching his own label Dubs Galore in 2018!
It’s already been over fourteen years that Von D has been officiating as a producer and DJ. With multiple releases to come, an undeniable Dj set experience and a bin of dubplate loaded to the brim, it seems that he is poised to continue to weigh in on the dub scene and soundsystem sessions in the years to come!
