Nashwa tire son nom d’un mot arabe signifiant « euphorie », « extase » ou « transe » : un état de joie intense et de connexion profonde, souvent associé à des expériences transcendantales. Cette notion est au cœur du projet porté par le producteur et percussionniste Alix Pilot et la chanteuse Ghizlane Melih.
En mêlant leurs univers artistiques, ils façonnent une bass music organique et métissée, où les rythmes électroniques contemporains rencontrent des influences traditionnelles venues de différentes cultures. Une rencontre singulière entre modernité et héritage, énergie du dancefloor et profondeur émotionnelle.
Véritable laboratoire musical en constante évolution, Nashwa s’enrichit de collaborations artistiques variées, notamment avec le MC britannique Adam Paris et le oudiste tunisien Moufadhel Adhoum. Ensemble, ils explorent de nouveaux territoires sonores à la croisée des musiques électroniques, des traditions méditerranéennes et des musiques du monde.
Après la sortie remarquée de leur album à la fin de l’année 2025, Nashwa poursuit son développement avec plusieurs nouveaux singles et collaborations à paraître en 2026. Le projet sera également en tournée durant l’été, avec des passages dans des festivals internationaux majeurs tels que le Paléo Festival en Suisse et le Jazzablanca au Maroc.

Nashwa takes its name from an Arabic word meaning “euphoria,” “ecstasy,” or “trance” — a state of intense joy and profound connection often linked to transcendent experiences. This idea lies at the heart of the project created by producer and percussionist Alix Pilot and vocalist Ghizlane Melih. Bringing together their artistic worlds, they create an organic and globally inspired bass music sound, where contemporary electronic rhythms intertwine with traditional influences from across cultures.
The result is a powerful blend of modernity and heritage, balancing dancefloor energy with emotional depth. As an ever-evolving musical laboratory, Nashwa thrives on collaboration, working with artists from diverse backgrounds, including British MC Adam Paris and Tunisian oud player Moufadhel Adhoum. Together, they explore new sonic territories at the crossroads of electronic music, Mediterranean traditions, and global sounds.
Following the release of their acclaimed album in late 2025, Nashwa continues its momentum with a series of upcoming singles and new collaborations scheduled throughout 2026. The project will also tour internationally next summer, with appearances at major festivals including the Paléo Festival in Switzerland and Jazzablanca in Morocco, further establishing its reputation as one of the most exciting emerging acts on the global bass music scene.
